While a better salary remained a top priority for all age groups, interest in other companies was a close second, illustrating a shift towards more exploratory career moves. Flexibility also emerged as a crucial factor for developers, especially those aged 44 and younger. This aligns with a broader trend in the workforce, where individuals seek a balance between professional challenges and personal life.

The rise of AI also played a notable role in shaping developers’ decisions, with 70 percent of respondents either already using or planning to implement AI tools. This reliance on AI for productivity may decrease the emphasis on continuous learning within their roles.
